OUR LOCATION

OneRoom B&B is very well located.
It is at the gates of the ancient stone village of Jouvenceaux, three minutes walk from the chairlift to Sportinia ( Via Lattea Ski) and a few minutes by car from the centre of Sauze d’Oulx.

The closest chairlift “Jouvenceaux” rises up to Sportinia, the dazzling hearth of Via Lattea Ski area, both in winter for skiers and in summer for walkers and freeride bikers.

From the front door of One Room, you can easily reach the bus stop and catch a lift up to Sauze D’oulx, for grocery shops, boutique clothes shops, pubs, restaurants and cinema or down to Oulx directly to the bigger supermarket “ Le Baite” and the nearest railway station to Turin or Bardonecchia directions.
In winter season an extra free bus  is available at certain times (called “Yeti bus”).

OneRoom by walking:

  • 1 minute walk from the “Bar Jouvenceaux” where you can have your morning breakfast, taste traditional local food and buy Italian books and magazines;
  • 3 minute walk from pizzeria L’Etoiles des Neiges;
  • 3 minute walk from restaurant “ La Fontaine” in front of the chairlift;
  • 15/20 minutes walk to the village centre of Sauze D’Oulx.
  • 1 hour by car or by train to Turin city centre.

OUR VILLAGE

Jouvenceaux is a cozy ancient village, part of the district of Sauze d’Oulx, with its authentic and traditional architecture.

It is known in the area for the beautiful chapel Jouvenceaux  is the St. Anthony Abbot with 15th Century frescoes adorning the interior and exterior walls representing stories of St Anthony’s life, typically St. Antony with a piglet at his feet – the fat of this animal was used to cure poor people from many diseases.

Wooden sculptures can be found throughout the area,  the result of a Maurizio Perron project called Art in the Forest which brought artists from all over the world to create contemporary and original sculptures that adorn the streets, forests and parks of Sauze d’Oulx and its surroundings.

Alps are one of the most beautiful natural heaven and we live in a small corner of paradise.
It would be a pity not to discover it!

We are passionate about outdoor activities and we will be happy to make your stay adventurous or relaxing, as you wish.

In our spare time, we are skiers, trail runners, climbers and trekkers and we can suggest different active experiences  to make your holiday the best it can possible be.

WINTER

Sport  Activities:

  • Ski and snowboard: with its 400 km of ski runs, 212 slopes and 69 skilift the Via Lattea is the biggest ski area of the Western Italian Alps, between Italy and France.
  • Ski touring and off piste;
  • Snowshoes: beautiful paths start from Jouvenceaux forest, Sauze d’Oulx and Gran Bosco Natural Park
  • Dogsledge in Sestriere
  • Cross country skiing in Bardonecchia or Claviere
  • Iceskating in Sauze d’Oulx( natural, so it really depends from the weather) and in Sestriere
